Johannes Moenius

Founding President

Johannes Moenius is Professor emeritus at the University of Redlands where he held the William R. and S. Sue Johnson Endowed Chair of Spatial Economic Analysis and Regional Planning. Originally from Germany, he studied management science at Bamberg University and economics at TU Dresden, Queen’s University, and UC San Diego, where he earned his Ph.D.; Before joining Redlands, he taught at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. His research on international trade, technical standards, and the use of GIS in economics has appeared in leading journals and been featured by PBS NewsHour, NPR, The Atlantic, and the HBO documentary Our Towns. He founded or co-founded five companies and institutes. He brings global business expertise and academic leadership to the TCS board.

Wolfgang Hall

Board Chair

Wolfgang Hall is a business and technology consultant with more than 30 years of experience helping organizations across manufacturing, healthcare, education, nonprofits, and retail improve performance and scale. A business consultant with QOC Innovations and founder of Uptomize, Inc., he pairs an engineering background with an MBA and core strengths in strategic planning, operations, and ERP and CRM systems. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Redlands School of Business & Society, leading the ERP capstone course. Beyond his consulting work, Hall has spent a decade in nonprofit leadership as president and treasurer of NAMI San Bernardino Area. He brings hands-on business acumen, a teacher’s heart, and nonprofit governance experience to the TCS board.

Faith Miller

Board Member

Faith Miller is an educator at Packinghouse Christian Academy who is passionate about holistic education and meeting both the academic and spiritual needs of her students. Beyond the classroom, she is an active member of her church and serves in multiple ministries throughout the community.

Faith graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Redlands School of Business with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. She believes that pursuing excellence in every aspect of life is part of God's calling for His servants. Above all, her desire is to glorify God in everything she does and to make the name of Jesus known.

Marlon Moenius

Board Member

Marlon Moenius serves on the board of The Christian School, where he helped establish the institution from formation forward — its corporate founding documents, brand and visual identity, and its website. He is an undergraduate at Stanford studying electrical engineering and mathematics, and founds and operates companies across machine learning, connected hardware, and design, advising executive teams on product and strategy. His interest in TCS centers on its model of learning through real work: students carrying live client engagements as the core of their education rather than as an add-on to it.

Jon McDonald

Board Vice Chair

Jon has served as a pastor in Redlands since 2007. A graduate of Fuller Seminary, he planted Restoration Church, which meets on the church’s campus, and his ministry centers on discipleship and building community rooted in faith. Jon has been married to Lindsey since 2002, and together they have five children. In his free time he enjoys golf, music, biking, and — most recently — pickleball. He brings a pastor’s perspective on character, mission, and spiritual formation to the TCS board.

Neal Waner

Board Member

Neal Waner, CFP®, is a founding partner and financial advisor who, as of 2023, entered his 37th year in the profession. A Big Bear Lake native, he holds a finance degree from San Diego State University and an MBA from the University of La Verne, and specializes in trusts, pension plans, endowments, and foundations. His governance record is deep: 13 years as a Redlands Unified School District trustee — three times board president — and an appointment as a trustee of SBCERA, the $14 billion county pension plan, where he chaired both the board and its investment committee. He also serves on the boards of Redlands Community Hospital, the Inland Empire Community Foundation (investment committee chair), and Children’s Fund. Neal brings financial stewardship, investment oversight, and seasoned governance to the TCS board.

Ron Jewe

Board Member

Ron Jewe, PhD, is a management educator and academic leader with over a decade of university teaching and administrative experience. Most recently Adjunct Faculty and Associate Dean at the University of Redlands’ School of Business and Society (2021–2026), he previously served as Professor of Management — now Professor Emeritus — at Azusa Pacific University. His teaching spans strategic management, organizational behavior, ethics, and leadership at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and he has chaired doctoral dissertation committees in organizational leadership. He is co-author of several management textbooks, including Effective Strategic Management: From Analysis to Implementation. He holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.

Ronald L. Burgess

Board Member

Ronald L. Burgess is a lifelong entrepreneur who was building businesses before entrepreneurship was fashionable. Rather than follow his University of Colorado Business School classmates into Fortune 500 careers, he opened a specialty retail store, growing it to seven locations and a small manufacturing plant over a decade before joining the nation’s largest retail merchandising consulting firm as a field consultant and Director of Product Development. In 1989 he founded Burgess Management Consulting, where he serves as a “Chief Marketing Officer for hire,” helping owners and presidents grow their companies. An early internet adopter, he co-founded RedFusion Media with his wife and son. A frequent speaker and author of more than 100 marketing articles, Ron has served on numerous nonprofit boards, is a past president of the American Marketing Association–Inland Empire, and sits on the University of Redlands Marketing Certificate Advisory Committee. He brings entrepreneurial grit, marketing depth, and governance experience to the TCS board.

Steve Morley

Board Member

Steve Morley is a technology executive and serial entrepreneur with more than 35 years of leadership in wireless and telecommunications. Over a 21-year career at QUALCOMM, he launched the company’s integrated-circuit business, led baseband development for the world’s first CDMA cellular phone (1990), and architected its digital cinema distribution system, later spun into a joint venture with Technicolor. Since then he has co-founded and advised numerous startups — including Assured Wireless (public-safety LTE for FirstNet) and esguard.io (SecureDNS mobile security) — and served as a business advisor at The Brink SBDC. He currently serves as President of Dragon Federation and as an Adjunct Professor of Engineering in the San Diego Community College District. He brings deep technical expertise, startup-building experience, and a teacher’s commitment to mentoring the next generation to the TCS board.

Tanisha Ware

Board Member

Tanisha Ware brings more than 25 years of experience as an administrative professional, providing high-quality support in fast-moving office settings. Known for strong communication and a proactive approach, she excels at streamlining operations, managing competing priorities, and keeping productive workflows running smoothly. Her background spans executive support and operations — including Executive Assistant to the CEO at Mission Enrollment and senior administrative and payroll roles at Loma Linda University Shared Services, along with earlier work in bookkeeping and as a police dispatcher for the City of San Bernardino. She provides the organizational backbone that keeps the School of Business & Society, and the work of the TCS board, running efficiently.
